This post is coming a bit later than my usual monthly wrap ups because 1) I’ve had zero motivation to write it and 2) I’ve been avoiding it due to the announcement I’ll be making. Let’s go ahead and talk about this month!

Books Read:

Death Note by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata // I really enjoyed this. It was pretty much exactly like the anime which is perfect because I needed my memory refreshed so I can finish the anime now 🙂
Let’s just ignore the fact that that was the only book I read in the entire month.
I won’t be setting a TBR because a) I will be going on a hiatus and b) I just want to read whatever I want whenever I want without thinking about a TBR.
Update: I joined my library’s reading challenge so I am trying to read more – follow my Goodreads, Instagram, or Twitter for updates on my book-reading if you’re curious.
Blog Posts:
I won’t mention a most popular post because I only had two lol but my show about TV shows to binge in winter was pretty successful.
The Blog:
I wasn’t very present on the blog again this month but oh well. I wrote two posts that took me a while to write and I liked them so that’s all that matters.
Now it’s time for me to talk about the elephant in the room. I’m going on a blog hiatus. This shouldn’t be a shocker given that I haven’t been reading much or blogging much – this has been a long time in the making, truly, so I thought it was about time to make it official. I don’t know how long this will last but I definitely won’t be gone completely. I’ll still be on my social medias and I’ll still be reading y’all’s posts and commenting, just don’t expect any posts from me.
Personal Life:
The most exciting event of the month besides Christmas was going to my first ever K-Pop concert. Me and my sister drove down to Miami to see A.C.E in concert. It took us longer than originally expected to get there and there was a huge ugly gap between the crowd and the stage even though they didn’t do that for the other concerts on the tour?? So I’m still a bit salty over that but I had such a great time and I’ll never forget it.
Just thinking about the concert makes me sad cause I miss them so let’s move onto Christmas. I got some skincare stuff, a sloth mug, a new phone, flats, and some other cool stuff. I love when I get stuff I can use so I’m happy with everything I got and I had a great day 🙂
I also got accepted as a teen volunteer for my local library. Since I’m writing this post super late I started my volunteering yesterday! I also still want to get a job but nobody’s gotten back to me yet It’s discouraging but I need to just keep applying and follow up so the employers know I’m serious about getting a job. I really hope to secure a job by the end of February.
I also finished my World History class! Now I’m halfway through English and then I have German and I’ll be a High School graduate! FINALLY!! My blogging hiatus is partially due to how busy I plan on being in the near future.
What I Watched:
My family watched a lot of the TV show 24 together and we started the Lethal Weapon TV show. Me and my mom have been continuing The Fosters.
On my own I’ve been watching Idol Producer, Memories of the Alhambra, and Tidying Up With Marie Kondo. Idol Producer is a Chinese survival show where 100 trainees compete and the final 9 form a new boy group. I adore the trainees and I love the group Nine Percent that was formed from the show.

Memories of the Alhambra is one of the best K-Dramas I’ve ever seen. It has augmented reality and there’s mystery and great action sequences. It also takes place mostly in Spain and Chanyeol from EXO stars in it, as well as some other great actors. Highly recommend.

I decided to watch Tidying Up With Marie Kondo one lazy Sunday cause everyone kept throwing hate at Marie Kondo and I was wondering why. 1) she doesn’t deserve the hate at all??? 2) she’s the sweetest human being to exist and 3) she’s the reason i was able to get rid of a tote filled with books.

What I Listened To:
I was really into C-Pop this month. I listened to a lot of Nine Percent and Nex7 due to Idol Producer. There was also some great comebacks to end 2018 with. I’ll try to keep this section short haha.
I’d include more but I don’t want to make this too long haha so click HERE to see my December playlist! It’s one of my favorites from the year.
What’s Happening In The Future:
Since I’ll be on hiatus I’m going to list things that might happen during my hiatus.
- Library volunteering
- Graduate from High School
- Start studying for ap exams/sat
- Get a job
- More kpop comebacks cause they never sleep

How was your December? How is your January so far? Let me know!

I can’t wait until you post again! (Although I 100% understand when a hiatus is needed 😩)
Honestly, I’ve never wanted to go to a KPop, or any, concert but watching you post about it got me so excited 😂

Yeah I just really needed a hiatus. I had a lot of fun – I’ve never really been a concert person but the two concerts I went to in 2018 were so much fun.

Love Shot and Tempo were both amazing! I like the mv for Love Shot more but Tempo as a whole (song, choreo, etc) I think I enjoy more. I’m glad he had more screen time but it didn’t seem like he really got any more lines than usual?
I replayed miracle so many times – yugyeom sounds so good in it too ❤ This month has already been crazy with astro, gfriend, chungha, like four debuts, etc. etc.

That’s so cool that you were accepted as a teen volunteer at your library! I’ve always wanted to volunteer or work at a library on the weekends but I just haven’t had the time to do it. I mean honestly, that’s one of the best jobs a bookworm could get 🙂 Best of luck finding a job as well. Your attitude is the best: just keep trying and keep being genuinely interested and sincere about the positions you apply for. I hope you have a wonderfully restful hiatus, Savannah!
