Literary Book Gifts // bookish merch designs review

I am very excited to put up today’s post. I haven’t written a review for a product on my blog yet, but recently as y’all know I’ve been wanting to branch out with the content I put on the blog so I was overwhelmed with excitement when this situation arose to review bookish designs!

About Company/Brand: Literary Book Gifts specializes in classic books and literature designs. These designs are put on t-shirts, tank tops, hoodies, totes, and backpacks for you to wear around with you to show your bookworm spirit. All t-shirts are made from cotton.

Disclaimer:  I don’t get anything from this post besides the opportunity to share some great designs and a coupon code, which will be at the end of this post for y’all to use if you decide to purchase anything yourself!

Products: I will be reviewing six of the designs, one on each different item you can order them in (ie: t-shirt, tank top, hoodie, tote bag, backpack).

draculashirt

Design: Dracula

Description: Based on the novel Dracula by Bram Stoker, the original horror classic vampire.

Available In: T-Shirt, Tank Top, Hoodie, Backpack, Tote Bag

This is the only design I’ll be reviewing today where I’ve actually read the book. I think that this design perfectly portrays the intensity and vibe that the book gives off when you read it. I like the design on the T-Shirt the most, personally, because I feel it works best since Dracula has become this big phenomenon beyond the original book written by Bram Stoker. When it’s worn on a T-Shirt, it’s one of the first things people see when they look at you. Dracula is a character that steals every scene he’s in and the red pop of color of this design against the black background (there are other T-Shirt colors available, black was just my personal favorite) pops out and grabs your attention just like the character.

alicetote

Design: Alice in Wonderland

Description: Based on the novel Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, or more commonly known as Alice in Wonderland was a novel published by Lewis Carroll in 1865. The graphic depicts Alice and the famous white rabbit.

Available In: T-Shirt, Backpack, Tote Bag

Although I haven’t read the book or seen the movies, I do know that Alice in Wonderland is wonderfully whimsical and twisted. I think that image is perfectly portrayed through this design. The tote design is my favorite because of the rectangular shape of the bag like a book.

edgar allen poe

Design: Edgar Allan Poe

Description: Based on Edgar Allan Poe, writer of The Black Cat, The Tell-Tale Heart, Annabel Lee, and The Raven.

Available In: T-Shirt, tank top, hoodie, Tote Bag, Backpack

I love this design on the red hoodie! I don’t know much about Poe, as I haven’t read any of his work, but what I do know is that his books are grotesque and dark and bloody. The red shirt depicts blood as the raven standing on top of the skull that lies on the book signifies past and future death, sending chills down my spine.

typewriterDesign: Typewriter

Description: An irreplaceable practical item for school or everyday usage, this backpack provides ultimate comfort and protection.

Available In: T-Shirt, tote bag, backpack

I probably like this design the most. Or at least, I love it on the backpack. If this is one of those medium-sized backpacks I might have to order one of these for myself haha. I love backpacks and if this is big enough to hold my laptop then it would be the perfect bag to bring with me whenever I want to go somewhere and write.

sherlockholmesDesign: Sherlock Holmes

Description: Based on Sherlock Holmes by British author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Sherlock is considered a British cultural icon along with his sidekick Dr. Watson.

Available In: T-Shirt, Hoodie, Tank Top, Tote Bag, Backpack

Something you should know about me is that although I haven’t read any of the Sherlock Holmes books, I love the Sherlock TV show on BBC (I mean, who doesn’t, it’s Benedict Cumberbatch).

emilydickinsonDesign: Emily Dickinson

Description: Based on Emily Dickinson’s poems. Depicts handwritten ‘Hope is the thing with feathers’ one of her most famous poems and a swallow in flight.

Available In: T-Shirt, tote bag, backpack

I don’t think I’ve read many of Dickinson’s poems – if any – but I think this design is perfect for a tote bag. I don’t like it as much on the shirt or the backpack but the quotes from her poems are a perfect fit for the bag. The bird stands out and catches your eye. This is probably my favorite design of the bunch!

In Conclusion: I haven’t ordered anything from Literary Book Gifts, but there is a large selection of designs for a wide selection of titles. I think that everyone could find something to suit their personal tastes and interest and I will definitely consider purchasing something from them (i’m eyeing that emily dickinson tote and typewriter backpack hehe)

Coupon Code: I am excited to share an exclusive coupon code for y’all! If you enter ‘THEBOOKPROPHET20’ in the checkout, you get 20% off anything in the store, no minimum, and can be used an unlimited amount of times!
