April Monthly Wrap-Up // the month of not reading and blogging #oops

April was honestly such a fail of a month in everything but school, but to be completely honest, that was kind of my intention, to focus on school and not worry about not writing blog posts and reading. This wrap up will probably be short since I didn’t really do anything memorable this month.

Books Read:

Remember For Me by Diana Tarant Schmidt // not sure about rating. I really don’t know how to describe this book? Review to come.

Let me just say that I am almost done with a book I started the other day so I’m not in a slump! I just wasn’t reading most of the month.

May TBR:

Ship It by Britta Lundin // the book i started the other day and am currently 40% done.

Windwitch by Susan Dennard // i’m still only like 40 pages into this book and i’ve been ‘reading’ it for over a month.

Legendary by Stephanie Garber // won an arc in a giveaway on goodreads and it comes out late may!

Aversion by Kenechi Udogu // book sent to me for review.

Furyborn by Claire Legrand // got approved for this on netgalley!

Blog Posts:

My Favorite K-Pop Music Videos // y’all better not be bored of these posts cause this was my favorite to write

The Second Annual Blogger Awards // let me be all sappy & share my favorites with y’all

A How-To Guide On Using Social Media Outlets For Your Blog // + some tips for new authors!

The Liebster Award, The Entertainer Blogger Award, The Unique Blogger Award & More! // five awards in one post because i’m behind

Most Popular Post:

The most popular post on my blog this month is my nomination post for The Second Annual Blogger Awards!! I love how this is my most popular post because I got to share a lot of my favorite bloggers with y’all 😀

The Blog:

I literally posted nothing for the first half of the month. I was busy and honestly didn’t feel like writing any posts. I’m happy I decided to write the K-Pop music videos post because it gave me back my writing mojo and I was able to squeeze out three more posts that everyone seemed to like a lot.

Personal Life:

And. Well. More school.

Good news is that I’m halfway through my Algebra class so once I finish that (two weeks, I’m estimating) I will be done with 11th grade!! I’m so psyched because it’s taken me SO LONG to finish 11th grade.

Besides that, I didn’t really do anything notable… I was basically just glued to my schoolwork haha.

I did get myself a Kindle Oasis, though! I got it towards the end of the month though so I haven’t used it that much yet. I love it!!

What I Watched:

I only really watched stuff with my family in April. We watched some Criminal Minds and some random movies we found on Netflix. I didn’t watch… anything by myself besides K-Pop videos. Oh! I re-watched the survival show ‘No Mercy’ that Monsta X was formed on! Just as emotional and stressful as I remember it.

What I Listened To:

Um… not really anything different than usual? I listened to Monsta X’s newest album they released last month almost on a loop (it’s so good) As well as Vixx‘s title song ‘Scentist’ from their newest album but I haven’t gotten around to listening to the full album yet. I like the song, although it wasn’t very memorable for me to listen to. I love the concept they went for with this comeback though.

Oh! The EXO sub-unit EXO-CBX had their comeback with their second mini album release! I really liked the sound their album has. I listened to it while I was reading one night and it was really nice reading music 🙂

this isn’t truly a blog post of mine until i fawn over kpop

What’s Happening In May:

  • um… more algebra?
  • Finish 11th Grade (FOR SURE THIS TIME)
  • Read more since I now have a Kindle

  1. Congrats on almost finishing 11th grade! Hope you’ll be able to get a break from school soon 🙂
I need to check out No Mercy! I’m still learning all the Monsta X members and this would be perfect I think.
BTS comeback soon yas! What are your thoughts on Singularity? It’s quite different but I love it so much 🙂

    1. I’m definitely planning on taking a week-long break after I finish before I start 12th. I watched it when I was first getting into them and by the end of it, I knew all of their names. You should definitely check it out (all of the episodes can be found on YouTube subbed) I haven’t watched it yet! I’m so behind with BTS at the moment. What are your thoughts on it?

      1. I’m definitely checking Youtube for it later!
I’m loving Singularity. Honestly, I was expecting something completely different (more in the style from Euphoria) so I was surprised at first but I quickly adored it. Tae’s voice suits the song so perfectly. Hope you’ll enjoy it!

        1. – I also admit that I haven’t seen Euphoria either *hides face in shame* I’d watch solely for Tae and his vocals though I love him so much

    1. It’s definitely good to get it all done haha! It’s so stressful to watch but it’s also really good. It’s all subbed on YouTube 🙂

  2. Ugh I hate algebra… I hate math in general tbh xD Have you watch Super TV? It’s Super Junior’s variety show and it’s hilarious! I can’t wait to watch TVXQ’s 72 hours, I need to wait until it’s subbed though #thestruggleofinternationalfans

    1. I haven’t~I don’t really stan SJ (I’m more of a casual listener to their songs) but I might check it out!

  3. I feel a little out of place in the comment section because I haven’t read any of the books you have (I do want to read Ship It!), but I can’t believe you have the strength to rewatch No Mercy! I haven’t even finished it, and it’s still stressing me out!

    1. Awe don’t feel out of place *hug* I ran out of Monsta X videos to watch and it was one of the first shows of theirs that I watched so I decided to re-watch is haha ~ I definitely needed to watch them all being happy together after that.

  4. I’ve started Caravel, but I need to finish it so I can check out Legendary. And I’m currently reading Ship It. It’s not exactly what I pictured, so kind of a bummer.
I just finished Leah on the Offbeat as my first May read, and it was SO GOOD!

    1. Ship It is… it’s a mindless read for me. I’m able to read it very quickly but I’m not quite sure about my thoughts just yet. Eek I need to purchase a copy of Leah for myself!

  5. I hope you’re enjoying Ship It – I’ve been seeing this book around and it sounded interesting, but… I don’t know why, I haven’t added it to the TBR just yet, haha. I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on Legendary – I enjoyed Caraval and I’m curious to see where this book takes us 🙂
I hope you’ll have a wonderful month, best of luck with your classes ❤ ❤

    1. I kinda forgot that I had wished for it on NetGalley too to be honest haha! I’m very curious as well! Thank you! Hope you have an amazing month 🙂

    1. I wasn’t a huge fan of Caraval but I’m hoping the sequel is more my taste 🙂 Hope you have a great reading month as well!
