Down the TBR Hole #13

Today I decided that I’d to Down the TBR Hole! Instead of doing it on Saturdays, I’ll be doing it every other Friday! So from now on, every other Friday I’ll tackle my TBR by taking part in Down the TBR Hole, a weekly meme created by Lia from Lost in a Story.

When the Moon Was Ours by Anna-Marie McLemore

I actually own an ARC of this book but haven’t read it yet. I don’t know why?? I’ve heard literally nothing but great things about it and it’s magical realism and I’m pretty sure one of the main characters is Trans.

Final Verdict: KEEP

paperweight

Paperweight by Meg Haston

This book follows a girl with an eating disorder who wants to commit suicide after dealing with her brother’s death… and if I’m being honest I added this because of the cover *hides in shame*. I am no longer interested in reading this book, though.

Final Verdict: GO

slated

Slated by Teri Terry

If I’m being completely honest, I forgot what this book was even about. I read the synopsis and although it does

sound intriguing, I can’t see myself reading it in the future

Final Verdict: GO

The_Last_Olympian_cover

The Last Olympian by Rick Riordon

Literally the only reason I haven’t read this book yet is because I don’t own it and I can’t find this edition in stores anywhere. When I do find it, I’ll read it!

Final Verdict: KEEP

thisadventureends

This Adventure Ends by Emma Mills

I keep forgetting that this book exists and I don’t know why?? I really loved Mills’ debut novel First & Then and was anticipating this one but kept forgetting that it came out! But I am still interested in reading it.

Final Verdict: KEEP

talesfromtheshadowhunteracademy

Tales From the Shadowhunter Academy by Cassandra Clare

There’s absolutely no question here. I’m reading this one day for sure. Especially after reading and loving The Bane Chronicles. I’ve heard even better things about this collection of short stories.

Final Verdict: KEEP

Untitled (The Wicked Powers #1) by Cassandra Clare

There isn’t even a cover for this yet *hides face in shame* but it’s a series with two main gay characters – but it’s not supposed to be released until 22 *cries*. I’ll be 22 when this is released! But anyway, I think I should take it off for now, at least until there’s more info.

Final Verdict: GO

LOS_cover

Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare

I haven’t even read Lady Midnight yet. I’m removing this and then adding it back after I read Lady Midnight haha.

Final Verdict: GO

allthelightwecannotsee

All The Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr

I really want to read this book! Plus I’ve heard spectacular things about it. It’s historical fiction – which I love – and it’s an adult book which is outside of my normal YA bubble, but I’m completely fine with that when it’s Historical Fiction.

Final Verdict: KEEP

wax

Wax by Gina Damico

This seems like the perfect book to read around Halloween. But also, it’s about wax figures I think… and maybe people becoming wax or wax becoming people…? Which will certainly give me nightmares for the rest of my life haha.

Final Verdict: KEEP

That’s it for this Down the TBR Hole! I got rid of 4/10 which is pretty good! I also spontaneously removed about 7 books from my TBR before I wrote this post so I’m doing good! Let me know if you’ve read any of these books!

          1. First & Then? No, I haven’t. But it’s on my TBR list. She said it’s supposed to be a bit inspired by Pride & Prejudice but with snarky humor and high school teenagers which sounds entertaining lol.

  1. I read Slated a while back and really enjoyed it! The whole trilogy is actually pretty good but I totally get you taking it off your TBR bc it’s not a very well known series and there’s lots of other books to get to

    1. This Adventure Ends has to do with some sort of stolen painting… that’s all I can remember. Good to hear you loved All the Light!
