The trick with found things, though, is how easily they can be lost.
Friends can betray.

Firstly, if you’d like to read my spoiler-free reviews of the first two books in this series, make sure to read them first so you’ll be able to see how my thoughts changed while reading each book. |The Raven Boys|The Dream Thieves|You can read the reviews by clicking on the name for the book of your choice.
“Queens and kings
Kings and queens
Blue lily, lily blue
Crowns and birds
Swords and things
Blue lily, lily blue”
Let me start off by saying that I loved this book. I loved it way more than the first two and I’m so hesitant to read the next book in the series because I don’t want it to end. I’m planning on reading it soon, though, so keep a lookout for a review for that within the next month or two.
This book was intense to say the very least. The stakes were high and I did not want to put this book down. I read this book in just a few sittings and once it ended I just wanted more.
I was given so much to think about and contemplate once this book was over but my mind was just numb and in awe of what I had just read. There was heartbreak in this book and so much character development.
The plot in this book was amazing as well because so much happened. We were not just introduced to new challenges in this book but new characters as well. Friends and foes alike, these new characters brought a new depth of mystery and tension to this book that I had been craving in the first two books.
I especially loved the growing relationship between Adam and Ronan in this book. I always looked forward to their chapters the most because you can just tell that Stiefvater enjoys writing about them the most (especially Ronan). I liked Blue more in this book than I had in previous books, but she still wasn’t really my favorite character. Adam will probably always be my favorite character.
Rating: 5 Stars
I know this review was a bit shorter, but I wrote this review a few weeks after finishing the book so my thoughts aren’t as well-lined up and put together as they were then. This book was so much better than the first two and the last book is promised to be even better (I’m halfway through it now).
