Hello everyone! Today I decided that I’d tackle a book tag because it feels like it’s been forever since I’ve done one. This tag is The Wishlist Book Tag and was created by Kingdom Book Blog. Without further ado, let’s get going!
1. Pick the two books you most want to purchase/receive at this moment
I would have to say The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas and History is All You Left Me by Adam Silvera. I won a giveaway for $15 on Book Depository and I decided to order these two books but they haven’t arrived yet and it’s slowly killing me. I want to read them now!
2. Pick a book that you have wanted for the longest time
I could scroll through my TBR on Goodreads, but this doesn’t have to be statistically correct, now does it? I’ll just go with The Walking Dead Compendium 3 because I read the second compendium last year and I fly through these compendiums so quickly it’s not even funny. They’re ginormous but I read them so fast. They’re also so expensive in stores so when I do end up buying it, it’ll have to be on Amazon or something.
3. Pick a sequel or companion story that you want to own
I really want to own Fairest by Marissa Meyer because I’m almost done with Cress, the third book in The Lunar Chronicles series and I heard it’s best to read Fairest (a novella about Queen Levana, if you didn’t know) before reading Winter. And I do not want to wait to read it! My goal for this year is to finish more series and I’ve been doing a good job so far.
4. Pick an entire series (or box set) that you want to get your hands on
This is what true beauty looks like. I want every edition of Harry Potter there is, okay? Is that too much to ask?? (Okay, maybe it is because each edition ranges from $60-100, but a girl can dream).
5. Pick a book from a favorite author of yours that you want to own
This isn’t a single book, but a series, and that is The Infernal Devices trilogy by Cassandra Clare. January this year I (finally) finished The Mortal Instruments series and I own only two other books by her aside from that series and I really want to read The Infernal Devices, and The Bane Chronicles (which I own and should read soon) before the next book in her Dark Artifices series comes out (later this year, I believe) since I own Lady Midnight already. It’s a big task but I finally want to be caught up with all of her work so I won’t read spoilers (it’s happened way too often, you guys, way too often).
6. Pick a popular book that you really want on your shelves
I WANT STRANGE THE DREAMER NOW! It’s so beautiful and it sounds like such a unique and magical book that I just really want to read (or at least touch, I mean that’s one stunning book).
7. Pick a book that you just recently decided that you wished to own
Only recently I’ve truly once and for all decided that I’d like to read the Illuminae Files series by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman. The last book, Obsidio, comes out next year, I believe, and so it gives me time to catch up and binge the other two books (which people have said they’ve flown through). It does sound really interesting but there was just so much hype surrounding it that it put me off reading it.
8. Pick a book that is either in the mail or you are going to purchase next
Well earlier I mentioned two books that are on their way in the mail, so I’ll say what books I’d like to purchase next. I’m never really sure what books I’m going to purchase next because I always want to find the best deals and buy as many books I can for the money I’m given. Only recently in this past few weeks I finally used my $25 Barnes and Noble gift card that I had gotten for Christmas in December! That’s how indecisive I am when it comes to buying books. I would like to buy the rest of the Firebird series by Claudia Gray so that I can read the last two books before I lose interest in the series. I would also like to get the last book in the Percy Jackson series so I can finally once and for all finish that series (it’s taken me years, you guys, years!)
9. Pick a hidden gem novel that you would like to read
Bird by Crystal Chan. It sounds like such a wonderful read and it’s been on my TBR (and real-life shelf) for so long.
10. Finally, pick a new release you really want to have
I kind of answered that earlier with Strange the Dreamer, but I’ll use a different answer for this. I really want The Inexplicable Logic of My Life by Benjamin Alire Saenz but I want to wait for it to come out in paperback because the other book I own by him is in paperback and I’m so OCD with my bookshelves.
I Tag:
I usually don’t really tag people but since this is a pretty new tag I thought I’d spread the tag around since it’s a really cool tag. As always, if you’re tagged but don’t feel like doing the tag, don’t feel entitled to do said tag, and if I didn’t tag you but you’re interested in doing this tag anyway, feel free to do so and let me know you’ve done it so I can check it out!
I hope y’all liked this post! What are some books on your wishlist? Let me know in the comments!
I think for me its Harry Potter all the way! Although I love the Hunger Games too (but less said about the 3rd book the better!) also I’d love to know what Hogwarts house you’re in (guessing Ravenclaw?) I’m a Hufflepuff!

Ooo, I like this tag 😊.
You should definitely read Fairest before Winter! It adds so much depth to Queen Levana’s character, and it personally made me just feel really sorry for her.

Strange the Dreamer’s cover is so beautiful, I would really like to have it on my bookself. And I’m probably going to ask it on my birthday which is on May (:
