Camp NaNoWriMo – Week 2

Hey everyone! So I’ll be talking about my second week of Camp NaNoWriMo today! If you want to read about my other posts on this topic, here’s my Introduction, and Week 1.

So my second week of Camp NaNoWriMo kind of sucked… I didn’t write much at all but I would still like to share some aesthetics (I’ve never made any before so sorry in advance if they’re terrible!) and a few quotes from the book! I’ll also give y’all some descriptions of my main characters! I love my MC’s and I hope you do as well.

Let’s start with some little snippets from my book! These are just a few lines I found that I really liked the sound of.

“I constantly hear a bus or a car or a group of guys playing basketball down the street. The noise never stops, and for someone like me who likes escaping into her own world, it’s the most frustrating thing I could ever fathom.”

“It’s funny how four simple words can make your heart leap out of your chest, make the invisible strings that control your emotions twist and pull in every which way.”

The first quote is from the perspective of my female MC, Madison Pearson, and the second is from my male MC, John Park. Their relationship developed a bit too quickly for my liking but I can always go back and chance a few things. Now, onto the aesthetics!

Madison Aesthetic

Madison is 16 years old, mixed race, lives in Queens, likes Pink Floyd, and is an introvert.

John Park Aesthetics

John is 16 years old, lives in Queens, likes K-Pop, plays piano, and deals with anxiety.

I hope you enjoyed this little post where I talk about my characters, mainly. I’m at 5,081 words at the moment, and my goal is to get to 10,000 words by Monday.

Are you participating in Camp NaNoWriMo? If so, how is your writing project going? Let me know!

  1. I love your aesthetics (& snippets)! They seem to really represent the characters 🙂
I hope that you get to write some more next week and that you’ll be able to hit your 10k goal, good luck!
