T5W: Future Classics

It’s Wednesday! This means it’s time for Top 5 Wednesday, a weekly meme created by Lainey @ Ginger Reads Lainey and now hosted by Sam @ Thoughts on Tomes. You can check out and join the Goodreads group here

I haven’t done a Top 5 Wednesday in a few weeks due to the topics not interesting me much, but I decided to do this topic because it’s about books that I think will become classics in the future. This is a really cool topic because just to think about the future like that is a fun (and slightly terrifying) thing to do.

lifeofpie5. Life of Pi by Yann Martel

I think the only reason this book isn’t a classic is because it’s not old enough. I can definitely see this book becoming a classic because it’s honestly just so beautifully written and I fell in love with the story and messages that were conveyed throughout this book.

4. Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling

Again, the only reason this book isn’t already a classic is because it’s not old enough to be one. Why the heck would Harry Potter not become a classic, anyway?

3. The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky

This book is one of my all-time favorite Young Adult books, and that’s saying a lot since that’s 98% of what I read. This book is already quite old (it was released in the ’90s I believe) but it’ll definitely become a classic, no doubt.

2. Percy Jackson Series by Rick Riordon

I still haven’t finished this series (I’m on the fourth book now) but I love these books so much! Rick Riordon is one of my auto-buy authors! He just writes books too fast for me to read them!

thehungergames1. The Hunger Games Series by Suzanne Collins

This series is a giveaway, I mean it basically the go-to book of the dystopian genre (even if it is a dead genre by now). Everyone has either read this book, seen the movie, or want to because of Jennifer Lawrence. This series will go in the record books.

So those were the books that I think will become classics one day! Are there any books on here that are your favorites? What books do you think will one day become classics? Let me know in the comments!
