Happy Eve of Christmas Eve! Is that a thing? If not, it certainly is now. Today is the day of last minute shopping and hastily wrapping gifts for the people you had no idea what to get things for. Today is the calm before the storm. Yes, calm, unless you’ve been out in the real world (AKA: Hell at this time of year). To celebrate this, I’ve decided to do another Christmas-y tag! I wasn’t specifically tagged to do this, but it was an open invitation so I decided ‘why not?’. Since this will probably be my last post on this blog before Christmas. Unless I finish my Aristotle and Dante review sometime today or find some free time tomorrow or Christmas day. You never know!
So I saw Kat over at Life and Other Disasters do this tag and decided to do it myself. Let’s jump right into it!
“All I Want For Christmas Is You…”
What book do you want to see under the Christmas Tree?
Er… any book would be nice. I never get books as gifts which is very strange because that’s the one of the things you could get me and I’m guaranteed to like it, unless it’s a book I already own. I’ll just put a few books I would go absolutely crazy over if I unwrapped it on Christmas morning.I’m limiting myself to only four books because this could get very long.
“Simply Having A Wonderful Christmas Time…”
What book that you have read this year have you enjoyed the most?
I’m not saying that this is my favorite book I read this year (since it’s full of pictures and is just a fun read) but I enjoyed it probably the most because it was just so fun to read and made me laugh so hard so many times. Dan and Phil really put their personalities into this book, just like they do with their videos.
“It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas…”
Which book has the most festive look to it?
With this one I chose a book that isn’t a holiday book because then that would be kind of unfair. Christmas does happen in this book, but only briefly and it’s not part of the main story-line. I own the movie tie-in cover (I know! Shame!) so that one isn’t very Christmas-y, but the shade of red and the white font makes this version have a Christmas-y feel to it.
Elf
What book unleashes your inner child?
This book was a runner-up for the last question, but I decided to put it here. This book made me want to join Bailey as we explore the wondrous Night Circus. I loved this book so much because it made me feel like a kid again (I’m technically still a kid, but I mean like age 5 or 6).
The Grinch
Your favorite villain…
I absolutely hate Delphini Riddle (is that her proper surname?) from Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, and I hate The Grinch as well so it fits. It’s not love to hate, it’s hate as in ‘I wish this character never existed’. The Grinch gave me nightmares, I’m not even joking and I seriously don’t understand why it’s a classic. And Delphini shouldn’t even exist considering ((SPOILER)) Voldemort was conceived under the influence of a love potion, meaning he doesn’t have the ability to love. And the idea of Voldemort having a child is something that is borne only in Fan-Fictions.
The Holiday
Name your favorite TWO couples…
ONLY two? Wow, this is brutal. Uh… I’m just going to pick two couples that are actually canon from books. Here they are:
Ron and Hermione and Alec and Magnus are definitely my book OTPs. They’re both just so perfect for one another.
What book would you like to give as a present to your followers?
Ergh! I have to choose only one? Gosh this is difficult. I’ll have to go with a favorite of mine, and that would have to be An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir.
I don’t tag anybody specific, but if you’d like to do this tag, feel free to do it. Leave a link to your post so that I’ll be able to check it out, or just ping-back to me and I’ll see that you did it. I hope that all of you are enjoying the holiday season! Happy Holidays!
An Ember in the Ashes is a great pick to give your followers. I loved that one and I’m currently listening to book 2. I loved your picks and totally agree that Me Before You has a very festive look.

It’s starts right where book one left off and it hasn’t really stopped moving. And the conflict is so good and sad that I want to cry, and applaud the author at the same time 🙂
