Time for another book tag that I’m converting from my Weebly blog! Enjoy:)
I was tagged in this by Jill over at Rant and Rave About Books around a month ago, but I’m just now getting to it. I’m doing it now though, so let’s just get straight to the point.
How long have you been a blogger?
I haven’t been a blogger for very long at all. I started this blog earlier this year, actually. I started off on Blogger and then decided to switch over to Weebly, where I am now. I like it here on Weebly, but my goal is to move over to WordPress once I get some income of my own, since it costs money.
At what point do you think you will stop?
What kind of a question is this? I love book blogging and I want to do something that involves books and writing once I grow up and step into the world of adulthood, which means that book blogging would still be a part of my life. I don’t ever want to stop, and I don’t know why I would ever need to stop.
What is the best part?
The best part about book blogging is meeting other bloggers from around the world who share the same interest as you. It’s really cool to be able to talk to all of these people from different backgrounds and who live in different parts of the world, but all have the same interests as one another.
What is the worst part?
There aren’t very many negatives when it comes to book blogging, but one thing I don’t like is how I feel pressured to read certain books and to write a certain number of posts each week, write reviews, etc. It’s real difficult for me to write when I feel pressured to do so, but aside from that book blogging has been a wonderful experience for me so far.
How long does it take you to find/create pictures to use?
Not long at all. I usually find them within a few minutes of searching, but I only really use pictures of books and gifs to go along with my post.
Who’s your book crush?
I always loved Fred Weasley. Didn’t care much for George when it came to Fred, which as you would expect The Deathly Hallows ruined me. I also have a crush on Adam from The Raven Boys.
What author would you like to have on your blog?
Can I just say every author I’ve ever read and enjoyed for this one? I would be happy interviewing any author I’ve ever enjoyed reading honestly. My top 5 would have to be J.K. Rowling, Rick Riordon, Sabaa Tahir, Rainbow Rowell, Maggie Stiefvater, and Cassandra Clare… okay that was six.
What do you wear when you write your blog?
Nothing. I’m nude most of the time. I’m just joking guys, don’t worry. Just regular clothes, really. I do school at home so I wear shorts and a t-shirt most of the time and flip flops.
How long does it take you to prepare a post?
I hate questions like these because the amount of time it takes for me to write my posts varies. If I’m writing a review it takes longer than tags such as these because it takes longer for me to get all my thoughts in order and to express what I thought about the book, but when it’s a tag or a Top 5 Wednesday post, it’s easier for me to write and doesn’t take as long.
How do you feel about the book blogger community/culture?
I love the book blogger community. Everybody is so nice and welcoming to new bloggers. It’s amazing! There’s really nothing else like it out there and I am so glad and fortunate to be a part of it.
What do you think one should do to have a successful blog?
Uh-well… I don’t have that many readers on my blog and I am still fairly new to this, but I think the key to success would have to be post and write about what you love. It’s really that simple. I always feel fortunate to be a part of such a community that welcomes new bloggers with open arms, and supports them as well. I think making friends within the community is the best and easiest way to succeed.
I don’t have anybody I’d like to tag specifically, but if you’d like to do this tag, feel free to do so. Just comment the link to your post so I can check it out! Thanks again Jill for tagging me, I enjoyed writing this post and answering the questions.
(Oh and if you’d leave a comment letting me know if you like this ending thingy that’d be great!)
